The project consists of two workstreams: W&D capacity building and infrastructure improvement. The W&D capacity building leveraged PICMA’s maturity tool (GRIDD) to complete an assessment of the primary program warehouse in Niger. Following the assessment, a capacity development plan was developed and is in the process of being implemented by the PICMA team.

Regarding the infrastructure improvement, PICMA was contracted to continue the work it had undertaken in 2022, which is to continue to improve the storage and staff conditions in the Route Fillingue warehouse by procuring relevant equipment that controls the temperature, limits access and egress within the warehouse, and improves the storage and materials handling conditions of the health products stored within the warehouse.
